SHARON BUTLER


Sharon has had a life-long interest in design and color.  She works in a wide variety of mediums and is able to create a realistic three-dimensional effect, a signature technique for which she is well known.

Since childhood, horses have been a strong influence and inspiration. A rider herself with a enduring love for horses and all things equine, Sharon often selects this powerful animal as her primary muse.

Sharon’s work is well-represented and collected in the United States and internationally. During her artistic career, she has won numerous awards, ribbons and Best of Shows.  Sharon resides in Ojai, California, a sublime location from which she draws inspiration and where she feels she can perfect her artistic skills.

Sharon’s significant achievements include:

1994 Recognition as an Ojai Living Treasure for the Arts

Member of Ojai Studio Artist – and a frequent participant in the annual OSA Tour

In the collections of:
Ojai Valley Community Hospital Foundation’s Operation Picasso  |  the New Britain Museum of American Art, New Britain, CT  | the De Anza Country Club, Borrego Springs, CA  |  along with numerous private national and international art collections.

Previously represented by: Primavera Gallery, Ojai CA; and Little Bird at Loretto Gallery, Sante Fe NM.
